|Necro Bot (2.0) - File Description
Tech: 9
Overall Rating: 9.4
Heres a great unit mod by silenthunter.
Basically it adds a t3 ressurection bot to each faction. These units can reclaim wreckage on the battlefield and change it back into a working unit (just lost that spiderbot you'd grown so attached to, no problem.... bring him back from the grave). Each factions Necro comes in the form of their t3 engineer but can be distinguished thanks to their name given to them (see screenies).
This gives a completely new tactical slant to the game, say for instance your sending a force on a flanking attack and you run into an unexpected force. You win the skirmish but in doing so you lose a good quantity of your units. Normally you'd have to either wait for replacements or push on with your weakened army. But with some Necro bots at your rear you can quckly re-build your force with not only your wreckage but your opponents also!
For help installing see our handy 'Installation Overview' section on the LHS of your screen ( <- that way!)

Necro v2.0 *BETA
This mod adds a T3 Necro bot to each faction. The Necro will take wreckage of units and structures and turn them back into working units through the reclaim process. For those of you that remember the Core Necro from Total Annihilation, the same concept is used here.
Version 2.0 Notes
-No mass or energy is gained when a Necro reclaims
-The units now work in formations
-Fixed some errors caused by reclaiming rocks(A blueprint was asked for where none existed)
-The units are named "Necro" upon creation to help distinguish them from T3 engineers. This name can be changed with Ctrl+N.
-Unit icons are currently broken because the /textures folder is not loaded into the vault
-Each Necro holds information about the unit it's reclaiming, instead of one global file. This allows multiple units to be resurrected at once.

Nice i've been waiting for a mod like this, so when you are going for a final attack and you get intercepted by a large enemy army you win but most of your units are dead so you use Necro units and have double or triple units because you revive the enemy units and you over kill the enemy, am I right.

back in Chris Taylor's Original Total Annihilation... they had a Necro Bot... omg i loved it... here is what you can do with such a fun toy:
on maps that have dead hulks built into them map if you rush your necro to that spot you can get (often some dead experimental) really early into the battle instead of having to wait to build one... also if you have experimentals turned off (unit limit mod pack) if you "rez" a hulk you get that unit even though it is disabled for that session... some times in a battle multiple massive units pile on top of each other and delete the previous wreck... so during a battle if you want to rez that massive Czar before the next 1 falls on it and deletes it u might want to have a few necros near by... (wish there was a mod that made it so that if a Czar wreck falls and another falls in the same spot the previous wreck would crumble but not disappear entirely but instead only disappear after maybe 3 fall on top of each other... in OTA wrecks went through several fazes before deleting from the map:
1.) Healthy - no damage
2.)moderate damage - unit is still alive but is missing parts or its skin is dirty
3.) dead -the shiny pristine hull of a dead unit (blocking pathways for other assaulting units to walk like dragon's teeth)
4.)crumbled dead - broken into a moderately generic form is based on the model size rather then the actual unit ... still able to block path of other units (the necro shouldn't be able to "rez" any of these)
5.)scrap metal - crushed litter and wast just piles of rusty twisted generic scrap based on unit's area size but so few parts left it is impossible to determine which parts belong to which unit... no longer blocking pathways but still looks like there was a massive battle...
6.) deleted - model and scrap wast are deleted from battle field all that is usually left is a crater where your commander used to be...
this would be an awesome mod where instead of just craters... there would be numerous wrecks laying all over the place

I downloaded the mod, I go into a skirmish and choose the mod. I make the unit and when i reclaim the destroyed unit it just does the norm.
