Supreme Commander 2, the sequel to Gas Powered Games' epic-scale real-time strategy game, will be one of Square Enix's first collaborations with foreign developers.

Posts: 436 		I was very weary about the simplifying of the economy, but it seems I need not worry at all. Supcom 2 looks very cool. It looks absolutely spectacular. And all these new ideas sound awesome too. They appear to have been listening to the community. I can't wait for this one. Taylor's enthusiasm is very catching.

I really hope the Seraphim will return with a vengeance though. Only three factions to start with for a sequel is a bit disappointing. I would have expected to see at least the four current races back. Oh well, there will be cool expansion packs no doubt.

Posts: 3 		Just one tiny, almost missed thing... Did anyone see any shields? I rather like that about Supcom 1.

A thought, however; a unit cannon could deploy the units inside a shield, paving the way for an air-strike, or simply destroying the shield to facilitate a frontal assault.

Posts: 67 		well be aware that this is simply a e3 demo, and probably only about 1/3 the stuff in the final game, shields will be in the final, no doubt, it was a significant part to the strategic aspect of the game
